I am a big fat liar! Well not fat, but yes I am a big liar. And I am saying because I lie to myself a lot during meditation. It does wonders for me; most of what I lie about, comes true!
What the…?
I know! I know! It’s a bit confusing, but give me just few minutes and I bet you’d think of lying too. So let’s get started. Every time I meditate I repeat following lies, to myself:
- I am 6ft tall. (I am not)
- I am amazing writer and charming friend. (Liar!)
- Life is wonderful. (Mind interrupts this one often, “You Liar!” ,it often says)
- I radiate success wherever I turn. (True for Louise L Hay, but I fail a lot!)
- I share joy, passion and love. (Ask my friends, they’d tell you the truth)
- I am cute. (Well…)
I don’t get it!

Nothing Political, Just for Fun
Yes, I know! Neither does my mind because right now you are thinking from logical mind. For a minute, switch off the mind and re-read them again:
- I am amazing writer and charming friend.
- Life is wonderful.
- I radiate success wherever I turn.
- I share joy, passion and love.
- I am cute.
Feels wonderful doesn’t it? So do I!
During meditation my mind is shut off and whatever I tell myself, I accept without thinking or revolting back! And when I come back to walking conscious, it’s there in my subconciouss mind (It takes a while to put it there, blame the mind). Hence, it’s a part of my belief and what I believe becomes true for me.
At the back of mind, so as to speak, I am thinking these thoughts – all day every day and hence manifesting.
Tomorrow Never Comes
When we say “I will be amazing writer and charming friend” (future tense) first mind revolts but slowly it get’s in subconscious mind and hence we never become amazing writer and charming friend! That’s because we are, most of the time, thinking that we will so we will…. we will… we will…. and we will. It never comes in present.
So whatever I tell myself as ‘What is’ (read present) even though it maybe a lie at that time. But in time, it will become my dominate thought and hence I will become a walking evidence of it and it will manifest in ‘What-is’.

Lies to Tell
So go on, tell yourself some lies. Here are some ideas:
- I radiate success wherever I turn. – Louise L Hay
- You are (I am) worthy beyond description. – Abraham Hicks
- I am worthy, Now. – King Sidharth (duh!)
- I am so full of love.
- I weigh XXkgs/lbs.
- I have wonderful boss.
- I have loving husband/wife.
- I score XX. (for students)
So I think I’ve made myself clear. I am not sure how much do you like the idea (let me know in comments) but I love it. A lie that comes true, so all the best. Also share some lies you plant to tell yourself.
I see happy liars.
Namaste
