/> </a></div><p>We know of the law of gravity that governs universe the most powerful of all such laws and the only law worth talking about is ‘The Law of Attraction’. Understanding the law of attraction gives you new eyes to see the fair world around you.</p><p>Before I dive into details of what Law of Attraction and Meditation do together, let me give a brief introduction to the Law of Attraction.<span
id="more-365"></span></p><h2>The Law of Attraction</h2><p>The Law of Attraction Simply says:</p><blockquote><p>“The essence of that which is like, unto itself is drawn.” &#8211; Abraham Hicks</p></blockquote><p>That means all that is good attracts more good and all that is bad attracts all bad. Science approves of that in terms of gravity and will approve it further when they discover the truth behind the ‘Dark Matter’.</p><p>But we are talking of it at very basic level. Every thought vibrates and vibration is attractive in nature. That means, a good thought attracts another good thought (law of attraction in action) and they together attract more good thoughts and more and more and more until the reality around you begins to change. That’s simple isn’t it. So your thoughts create reality.</p><h2>Meditation</h2><p>Now a quick revision on what is meditation. Meditation is process to quiet your mind and stop thought. And when you stop thought you come to your natural state of well being and joy. Have you noticed that when you are worried thoughts are storming in your head and when you are happy your mind is mostly thoughtless?</p><p>That’s what happens when you think good thoughts, good thoughts come in alignment with your inner being, soul or Source energy and you align to who you really are and you thrive.</p><p>That’s what meditation is all about.</p><h2>Meditation + Law of Attraction = ?</h2><p>So when we meditate, we stop thought and when we stop thought – the negativity subsides and we begin to offer a vibration of well being and all that is good. And when we are offering such vibrations – Law of Attraction must bring to us all that is good.</p><p>So when you are meditating, you are attracting all good.</p><h3>No Need of Visualizations</h3><p>People will tell you to visualize and think good thoughts while meditating to attract stuff in your life. But you don’t need to do that. Because often when we try and think good about things that we want but they are not in our life – we start to feel bad  and we feel that they are not here – we miss them. And what we feel equals the vibration we are offering, and no matter what you visualize – if you are feeling bad about it – it’s NOT COMING TO YOU!</p><p>So better option is not to think anything. Because once you said you want it – it is coming to you. Universe is like a restaurant – do you go to a restaurant and say&#8230;</p><p><em>“I want salad. I want salad. I want salad. I want salad. I want salad. I want salad. I want salad. I want salad. I want salad. I want salad. I want salad. I want salad. I want salad.”?</em></p><p>No you don’t! You just say it once and you know it’s coming. Same with universe – if you ever – mind you ever – asked for it or even offered a preference towards it. Or ever appreciated it- it’s coming to you. Faster than you think! BUT what keeps it away is – keep thinking about it in negative way.</p><p>And when you visualize with such a feeling – you repel what you want – that’s the major draw back the movie ‘the Secret’ has on it’s viewers. They focus so much in visualization that stuff like that that people repel it away.</p><h2>Attract and Manifestation through Meditation</h2><p>So what is better is to either think positive thought, or think nothing. Both ways you are attracting it. The best way to do that is meditation. Meditate for 30 min and things you want will start coming into your experience. No visualization – not anything. To make best use of your mind?</p><p>I mean, won’t it be wonderful if you could solve that math equation, be calm at places and situations where everyone else would have panic, read and understand nice books, write, share and so much more? Then hell you are so much like me!</p><h2>Sharpen The Saw</h2><p>I remember the story two woodcutters went to forest and one of them started chopping right away and the other one spend hours sharpening his axe. At the end of the day, the one who sharpened his saw ended up with more wood than the one who didn’t and was, obviously, less tired and earned more bucks!</p><p>So it’s always wise to sharpen your saw –sharpen your mind and we are going to use the method of Meditation.  This is so important that Stephen Covey has devoted a full habit in his book <a

I AM SCERWED UP!!! Sounds familiar?</p><p>Well we all go through these storms every day. Everything seems to have a secret pact with the lords of chaos and they all seem to be after us. And things get frustrating and discouraging when nothing seems to move.</p><p>Meditation comes to rescue. You will become calm day by day, you will see patterns in chaos – patterns of thoughts and habits which are not serving you well. You will have that wisdom and clarity to see them and say to yourself, “This habit/thought got to go for my own well being.” And as the dust settles, you will see even more.</p><h2>Never Dying Passion – Getting Things Done With Ease</h2><p>Knowing the root of the problem is another thing and having the power to change is another. And let me be honest with you – will power does nothing! I mean you decide to wake a early, motivate yourself and even do it for a week and after that&#8230; what? Will power is gone and so is everything that came along.</p><p>We need that force that comes from within and never dies, that passion which builds up slowly. We need that stuff – does it ever happen to you that there is something, a thought, habit etc. , which you inculcated in your life effortlessly while others try to struggle to move even an inch? What is that soft power that places it in? That’s power of sub-conscious mind.</p><p>People try harder and harder to make it happen and it actually never happens. But once it gets in the sun-conscious mind – it’s done. I love what Ryan says about this:</p><blockquote><p>Try hard, and you’ll have to try harder. ~RBs Keys</p></blockquote><p>So do we evoke this power? How do we go placing that thought in sun-conscious mind? – Meditation! And results, I promise, will start slow, will be natural and transformational in the long run. You will look back and say – Whoa man! Was I that person?</p><h2>Efficiency in Handling Thoughts</h2><p>I remember friends complaining that they have stuff in mind, they know the answer, they have the ideas but somehow they can’t put them together in a nice way or just can’t express them in a flow. One of the major causes is inefficiency to handle the thoughts, when thoughts think you rather than you thinking the thoughts. And that too my friend can be changed by Meditation.</p><p>You will be able to put all your thoughts nicely. They will come in a formation like birds and they will come at speed and shape that you want. And I know, for some people it sounds too good to be true but ask those who are meditating since years even months, it’s wonderful how they have changed over years.</p><h2>Understanding Opposing Ideas</h2><p>My twitter friend sent me this message on twitter:</p><blockquote><p>&#8230;I believe that if every one mediated 5 minutes a day THE WORLD WOULD CHANGE for the better! &#8211; <strong><a
title="Charlaine, Realtor " href="http://twitter.com/CharlieBrown949">CharlieBrown949</a></strong></p></blockquote><p>And I cannot agree more. All those tensions, feeling of insecurity, terrorism and intolerance of opposing ideas comes from the place where we can’t understand or respect individuality of other’s consciousness, let alone have peace with it.</p><p>But you can be a peacekeeper. Not only will it serve the whole society but it will serve you at much deeper levels. You will begin to understand things, people more clearly. No more –“I can never get this person.” Or “This person is a pain in the neck” because you understand that there are as many point of views as many people there are and it is good because that makes you special.</p><h2>Bring Out The Talent</h2><p>“I was very good with guitar but then I stopped learning.” I’ve heard this from many of my friends and when I ask them why they have numerous reasons from ‘unsupportive parents’ to ‘unmanageable life’ and trust me none of these are true! Because you know it in the heart that you knew when you were leaving it that you have the power to not only come back but continue learning and bring out the talent.</p><p>And with the hope of returning someday you turned away and when will be the time to go back? Someday. And when will be the someday?</p><p>Let me tell you the secret to making that someday as close as a month if not today – Meditate.</p><h2>Conclusion</h2><p>I can go on, really! For there is no end to the ways meditation upgrades your mind and then there is personality, relations, emotions and so on. I usually read several books each month on topics ranging from geekish technology to spiritual insights. I thought why not share some reviews with you. href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0600599140?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=thfr0c-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0600599140">How to Meditate – Combat Stress and Harness The Power of Positive Thought</a>’</strong>. The book explores many aspects of meditation and many techniques. The author <a
href="http://paulroland.net/" target="_blank">Paul Roland</a> has written several books on the subject including <a
href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0600604837?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=thfr0c-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0600604837">Meditation Solutions</a>.</p><h2>The Book</h2><p>The book is very well designed, easy to read, basic language. It’s full of insightful quotations and numerous techniques which you can explore this holiday season. The book is visually reach and talks sense and straight forward without diving much into why and stuff it, encourages you to explore it yourself.</p><p>Unlike so many other books on meditation that I’ve read, it touches many aspects of meditation from a beginner&#8217;s point of view. You will not be disappointed if you know nothing about meditation. And if you know something, this is the next step. Here are some topics that the book covers:</p><ol><li>Benefits of Meditation</li><li>Why Meditate?</li><li>Postures</li><li>Mindfulness</li><li>Healing through meditation</li><li>Visualization</li><li>Mantras and Chanting</li><li>Music for Meditation</li><li>The Chakras</li><li>Positive Thinking</li><li>Much, much, much more</li></ol><p>So overall it’s an amazing book. In each chapter you will find basic to advance ‘step-by-step’ technique with useful suggestions and tips. Not to mention the awesome quotes author as complied.</p><h2>What I disliked</h2><p>The very subtitle of the book seems to contradict the topic of the book. Combat? Thoughts? That’s not meditation! Often the author mentions putting ‘mind into meditation’. Dude, there is no mind in meditation.</p><p>The reason is quiet clear, the book was targeted for people with western mindset to many of them these idea of being without mind and not fighting against what you don&#8217;t want may seem absurd.</p><p>The topic of the Chakras is not at all satisfactory.</p><p>In chapter about relaxing Paul mentioned preserving mental energy, well I personally believe in abundance so it’s not wasting that is of concern here but diversion of attention.</p><h2>What I Liked About The Book:</h2><p>I liked the simple and effective approach of the book. He never tries to invade your mind or imposes something on you. He is out there silently passing the knowledge and it’s more about what you perceive.</p><p>It explores so many techniques that you can go on a meditation adventure. And none of them are hard, or useless. And above all he has really covered vast range of topics like colour therapy, mindfulness, healing, chanting etc.</p><p>It’s full of eye candies. The serene sceneries and descriptive image guide are very helpful to create the feel or sense of mediation.</p><p>The topics: Mindfulness, Healing, Chanting, Past Life Regression, Postures and Meditation Corner are very descriptive and makes the book ‘Highly Recommended’.</p><h2>Who Should Read It?</h2><p>Everyone! Right from beginners to meditation teachers, I will recommend this book to everyone. You will learn a lot if you don’t know anything or know a thing or two. And if you are already practicing it, you will find loads and loads of  interesting and useful techniques. If you want to start living a rocking life. The time is now.<br

I started meditation based on the methods suggested on the website. But, you’ll not believe, in my first attempt, I kept on losing my concentration (focus).<br
/> Then, I waited for some time to see more methods on the website and some of them worked for me and some of them didn’t (and it’ll be the same case with you!). So I started doing the techniques which I liked, and they were amazing.</p><p>I was doing meditation from the last two years, but not like this. I was totally blown away by it. So, I kept doing it for some days and the results were astonishing. The state when you’re meditating just feels so good. I felt tension-free after that and I was able to concentrate on my studies too (what I wanted).<br
/> And then I found the answers of many things which I never got. <em>Meditation</em> also helps in the process of The Law of Attraction. It has worked for me, and is still working!<br
/> The best thing is, when you start doing it you feel very good. And feeling good is the most good thing in the Universe! That feeling good is not forced to come but comes from within. And that is the magic of meditation. It was truly awesome doing that! And that awesomeness helps us finding the true path of life which many of us try to find.</p><p>I had an inner nudge to discover more methods myself. So I kept on experimenting and I really got some awesome ideas! Some of them are:</p><ol><li> Meditate while you wait! This method works and saves your time and also passes the time. I started doing that, while waiting for my school bus and in the school bus as well! And you know what it really helps. Just use the simple techniques of meditation…!</li><li> The second one is actually there is no second one! <img

I am just an explorer like you, journeying through this wonderful world and sharing my experience with you and inviting you to do the same.</p><h2>Handwriting</h2><p>So what’s the link. Handwriting is not just some marks we make that could be translated into thoughts. It is much more than that, it represents our core personality. It represents our own take on concepts and thoughts. That’s why we write our lover’s name in best possible way and we don’t write name of those we don’t like.</p><h2>Meditation</h2><p>Meditation brings out the best in you – the real you. The God like divinity is brought to surface and that true being cannot have unreadable handwriting. When we are improving inside, when our thoughts are enlightened, our handwriting reflects it.</p><h2>Improve it!</h2><ul><li>Take a blank piece of paper and a pen. Sit in meditation for 5 min (any meditation you like or have explored).</li><li>Open your eyes and start writing.</li><li>Write random things, whatever you want.</li><li> Mind will speed up the ideas, but take control and go slow.</li><li>You don’t have to fill the page, just write what you want.</li><li>Write for 5 min and stop.</li><li>Keep the paper some where safe.</li><li> Repeat everyday and keep collecting the papers (to see improvements)</li><li>Don’t try to improve</li></ul><p>The catch is, don’t try to improve or make your handwriting beautiful. Let it come itself, let yourself feel the beauty that is already there.</p><h2>Don’t copy</h2><p>Do not open a book in front of you to copy and write. Just write what random thoughts come in mind. “Baby sings melody.” “Cat is on the biggest mat” etc. are fine. Even words like “Venkarzentuita” are fine. Just write what comes from inside.</p><h2>Don’t repeat that sentence</h2><p>Many childrens&#8217; cursive writing books follow the technique of repeating same sentence 10-15 times over and over again. It is fine for kids who are learning to make marks. But in reality, we don’t write a sentence over and over again. We have rushed stream of ideas or information. And it is better to practice practically!</p><h2>Share your progress</h2><p>After 2 weeks of practicing this exercise, you will see huge improvements (I started it 2 weeks ago and I am seeing results already). Mind you it’s not what I think going to matter. But what is going to matter is what you think. Because what you believe becomes true for you. Do you think of <em>meditation</em> as gift to some rare beings on earth who bribed God? Or do you know creativity as process bringing out the best of ideas present in <em>consciousness</em>? Err&#8230; human language&#8230;. do you know it as process of being inspired and creating masterpieces out of nowhere?</p><h2>Agitation, Restlessness won’t do any Good</h2><p>So that day you woke-up and thought that you are going to create best creative masterpiece in the world and there started all the agitation. You tried hard to look for inspiration, but someone switched off all the lights! You try harder to do something; time is rushing you got to find the light bulb but BANG!!! You fell, now you are really in panic and trying your best to get up and&#8230; you get the idea. Creativity never comes forth when we are in state of panic, hurry, haste, agitation or simply when we are not ourselves.</p><h2>Effortlessness Brings it Forth</h2><p>Have you asked that teammate how he came-up with such a <em>brilliant idea</em>? Well if you haven’t you can ask me how I came up with idea of this blog (it’s creative, isn’t it?). Most of them will answer that they don’t know. It just turned on (the bulb on head, remember?) they weren’t even trying. And that’s the key to <em>meditation and creativity</em> – Effortlessness.</p><p

Now, the delicate and rare stream of <em>creativity</em> can flow through you. Now the brilliant or maybe million dollar ideas can flow in. Now we realize those ideas were always present in <em>consciousness</em>, we just bring it forth into this world.</p><h2>Creativity and Meditation the Law of Attraction Way</h2><p>The Law of Attraction is bringing to us what we give our attention to by any means. So when we are in state of restlessness and pressure, creativity cannot come. But when we are relaxed and in our heart know that the best is coming to us. We manifest that what we call inspiration, it’s taking us where we wanted to be. We don’t know that how it’s happening, we just know that it is happening and it feels wonderful&#8230; full of passion. /> </a></div><p><em>Meditation </em>is observing the show called life. It’s taking a step back to sit and watch. Life ought to be treated as a passing show because it’s one step in your existence as a spiritual being. Everything is in a constant change of change.</p><p>Your thoughts, feelings, and body are dynamic by nature. Nothing bound by time is immune from change. Meditation allows one to accept change as a natural part of life. Sitting still, you can see that you aren’t who you think you are. ‘You’ aren’t your thoughts, your feelings, or your body. You are a spirit, awareness and every thing is an object of your awareness.</p><p>Noted spiritual teacher<em> Ram Dass</em> used this analogy in <em><a
href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0553285726?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=thfr0c-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0553285726">‘Journey Of Awakening’</a></em> to describe the concept of awareness. I’ll paraphrase.</p><p

If the movie is enthralling you are drawn into it. The story line captures your attention and keeps it until the end. If the movie is poor you tend to notice other things: the quality of the popcorn, people chattering, the seating arrangement. You pull back from the movie and note that it is a story and other things occur as the story proceeds.</p><p>Awareness can be likened to the second example. Instead of being drawn into the drama of your life you surround it with space. Note an event and move on. No deep emotional attachments to anything, just acceptance, observation, and progression. This isn’t to say that life is a ‘ho-hum’ type deal. It’s just pure acceptance of everything as it is.</p><h2>Consider your thoughts, feeling, and body.</h2><p>You are not your thoughts. Thoughts are things. They are not you. They are your possession, your brain child. When you decide to let a thought go, it’s gone. Who made the decision? Who’s in control here? You! Meditation is observing thoughts and allowing them to leave. You do the allowing, not the thought. This is the most liberating concept of all. The more you lose attachment to your thinking the more “I am”-ness. The more “I am”-ness, the more freedom. No need to try to be anything, other than yourself.</p><p>You are not your feelings. Happiness and sadness come and go as you decide to embrace and release. See who’s in control? It can be tough to grasp this concept because feelings literally strike a chord within your body. The human body physically moves into a higher or lower vibration depending upon the feelings you choose to experience. Like all things in the universe the body is a form of energy. Experiencing a surge in energy can feel overwhelming, especially when it’s a low energy vibration.</p><p>Meditation slows everything down. It allows you to observe how you generate and release emotions. A person in complete control of their feelings doesn’t live at the mercy of life. Whatever happens can be embraced in one moment and released the next.</p><p>You are not your body. The body is your spirit’s home for its short stay on this plane. As you pass on the body sticks around and continues to change until it too moves into another form of energy. You can call the body home base, for now.<br

/> When you no longer identify with your body you cease to judge it. Most criticize their bodies. They fight the natural flow of things; wanting to look better, younger, more desirable as Father Time moves on. As you sit in stillness you can accept your body for what it is &#8211; a vessel for your spirit is. With this realization comes less self-conscious tension and more happiness.</p><p>This isn’t an excuse to not take care of your body. This is your home! Happiness begins at home. Eat a balanced diet and exercise.</p><p>It’s evident that meditation is freeing. Losing identification with your thoughts, feelings, and body causes you to no longer be bound by them. These are common effects of deep, sustained meditation:</p><ul><li>Increased happiness</li><li>Peace of mind</li><li>Identification with the real you</li><li>Being in the flow</li><li>Attracting inspirational ideas</li><li>Calmness</li><li>Balance</li><li>Increased health</li></ul><p>Meditation is a liberating vehicle. /> </a></div><p>When I started talking to my friends about meditation, I discovered that many of them think of meditation as a chore, a supplement pill that you could take daily or as a religious ritual. But it is none. Meditation is something as natural as breathing.</p><p>Meditation is all about calming your mind’s chatter, letting your body relax,  letting your thoughts go and discover the real self in that moment. It is a realization that you are far more than your body, mind and conscious. In fact, most part of us is non-physical and vibrational  &#8211; soul. It is like going on a treasure hunt, and finding the treasure –you.<span
id="more-41"></span></p><p>What happens next, no language in world can describe. It’s a sleep deeper than sleep and awareness beyond what we know as conscious.<br
/> <strong>Why should I do it? Why it’s cool?!</strong></p><blockquote><p>“Meditation is pure awesomeness.”</p></blockquote><p>There are loads and loads of reasons. I’ve written the main ones and divided them in sections.</p><h2>Cool Meditation = Cool Body</h2><ul><li>Improves body’s general state of health</li><li>Maintains healthy Blood Pressure</li><li>Increases blood flow to every part of body (especially to heart and brain)</li><li>Increases patience (you don’t loose your temper so often)</li><li> Fast Healing: be it post-operational, wounds, injuries or anything.</li></ul><p>And there are many more. If you have a scientific mind (like me <img
src='http://www.meditationrocks.us/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> ) then an article from my favourite science magazine <em>New Scientist</em> :</p><blockquote><p>“Meditating does more than just feel good and calm you down, it makes you perform better &#8211; and alters the structure of your brain, researchers have found.”</p></blockquote><p><a

Very helpful for, both, students and people at work. Make most out of your time, even if kid next door loves rock music!</li><li><strong>Reduces Stress:</strong> Tired of looking tired and exhausted? Well, not anymore!<br
/> Boosts Self-Confidence: We know it’s priceless</li><li><strong>More control on thoughts:</strong> So when mind tries to procrastinate you can have your control back.</li></ul><p>I suggest that mediation breaks the illusion that mind runs the show. We began to realize our true potential and respect &amp; love ourselves even more.</p><h2>So, where to being?</h2><p>I will give you some easy steps for starters. Wear easy clothes (you don’t want to keep adjusting that funky jeans, do you?). Now what you need is a comfortable place to sit in. Yoga postures do help, but to start sit in whatever way you like. Just make sure that every part of your body is relaxed. Ease out any stress. Here are steps:</p><ul><li>Close your eyes</li><li>And take a deep breathe in and out ( 2 times)</li><li>Now focus on your breathing, feel yourself breathing in and out.</li><li>Let thoughts come and go, let feelings come and go&#8230; just focus on breath.</li><li>If your mind goes on your favourite scene from LOST, lovingly and patiently bring it back and focus on your breathe</li></ul><p>Your mind might doze off to sleep or something similar (it’s relaxing finally, you see) let it be. Just focus on your breathe.<br
/> That’s it go for as long as you can. Maybe 5 min in beginning and as you will begin to explore and get more comfortable. You will automatically want to do it more.</p><p>So how was your experience? Let me know in comments:<br
