Meditation Weekend: Is Meditation Worth It?

Meditation Weekends #3

This is the time of the week where we have loads of fun, talk about fun stuff and enjoy at our best. It’s like a relaxing feeling after hard work of weekdays but I have a question to ask: Why just weekends? Why not everyday? It just takes 5 min. of meditation to be the best of you and enjoy everything.

You can meditate while eating (it can be a good weight control strategy), you can do it anywhere and anytime. Why? Well don’t ask me that I can flood you with reasons. But I will not tell you a single benefit. In fact, I will say that there is no benefit of meditation. None! Nada!

Even if there are, I am not aware of them. Will you be kind enough to enlighten me on the benefits you have experienced? Look back at your life when you didn’t meditate at all and now when you have meditated. If you have not, please do it now, and tell me what change you see.

I really want to know, is this meditation really worth it? Worth talking about? Worth blogging about? Worth time? Worth effort? Worth no-thought?

I wonder…

The mind wonders about everything under the sun and beyond. Meditation is about gaining balance of thoughts through realization (You begin to 'see' better with your eyes closed). We connect with many systems (family, friends, race, team, company, country, etc). Although they all collectively give you your identity, it also takes almost all of your time. The less you tend to 'see' the universal picture. Sorrows follow because of less understanding, close mindedness and also due to pain as it is the people who we love that can hurt us the most sometimes. Anyone who is serious about 'unplugging' from all systems for a few minutes everyday and connect with the cosmic energy, better allocate some time for it! As the saying goes, you cannot have time if you dont take time.

Meditation is worth it. Being able to detach, observe things more for what they are, and maintaining peace of mind are worth it in my book.

Is meditation easy to do? Yes and no. Will it take a while to learn how to meditate? Yes and no. I don't want to fill your mind with preconceived notions. The more empty the mind, the more open you'll be to meditating, and life.

Yes Of course meditation is of a great value. Firstly getting together with the divine…thats just something in its self! Secondly, it increases focus and concentration. And thirdly, it increases positivity around oneself. I know and i am sure that meditation will someday make this world a beautiful place to live in!

Meditation is indeed that beautiful and you are very true in saying that it makes one so much more positive. If we keep on meditation, we will go better and better and this world will automatically improve.
