I’ve received a lot of requests and emails asking me to share a simple and easy way to meditate. Beginners coming to this site for the first time often get excited to try all the new techniques and end of more confused than ever.

How do they know if they are ‘really’ meditating or just feeling good (although that’s good too)? What about ground work – the basics? What about those who just want to meditate simply and not experiment much. So here is the simplest technique in simplest way that I can give you:

The Simplest Meditation Technique

  1. Wear Easy Clothes
  2. Sit, Stand or lay down with your spine straight
  3. Close your eyes
  4. Focus on your breathing
  5. When you inhale count ‘1’ and when you exhale count ‘2’.
  6. Count up to 10 and then start again from 1.

If you find yourself wandering off just start back at one or if you find yourself counting 24,.. 35… then start again at one.

You can use a timer to wake you up from meditation after 15 minutes.

That’s all! World’s easiest and no-complications meditation technique.

Do you have a favorite inspirational poem or song? A favorite workout routine that centers you in your body after a long day spent stuck inside your head? Use these as interweaves.

    Add some warm up exercises to your pre-meditation routine. Examples include yoga poses, Qigong exercises and praying for peace or happiness. Find what works for you. Begin with exercises which limber the joints and the spine. Meditation is easier when you are centered in your spine.

    There are thousands of meditation techniques in the world. However, there is really only a few. If you strip away just a few small differences, then the number of meditation techniques drops considerably.

Meditation chairs help to position the body in a relaxing, comfortable position. They can be really helpful for beginners who are having a difficult time getting in to the zone and gaining clarity.     Presumably you have no meditation groups that you can physically go to for guidance.
    You might like to meditate on chakras. If you don’t know the location of the chakras, look them up on net.
