I wonder how come I’ve never written a post about this. This is so important and this is the key science is looking for when they try to experiment with meditation and meditators.
The key is emotion. What will it take them to accept that we are emotional / visceral / vibrational beings? Every action we take and every thought we think has a visceral cause. That’s advanced explanation of the law of cause and effect.
The emotion that meditation provokes the most is compassion. Now before we go further let’s define it.
What is Compassion
Compassion is not pity that you feel for someone less happy than you, it’s the joy that you feel in knowing their wellness. Jesus and Buddha are great examples. They never let themselves see the version of you as you are but they knew so vividly the real ‘self’ of you.
This quality comes from meditation. There are other ways too but this is most effective of all. Meditation is like sunbathing in light of your true self (which you often come to know as God). But God is not outside of you –it really is you – the greater you, it’s King Sidharth or Abraham part of you.
A Symptom of Change and Self Realization
As you know that light, you know it to be not only yours but to be all that is, you shine that on everyone. That is compassion – overflowing feeling of love, appreciation and joy.
“You are the light of the world.” – Jesus
All Buddhist are supposed to practice compassion since Brahama asked Buddha to teach it.
- Compassion is the aura that surrounds you, and people call you charismatic.
- Compassion is the healing power of healers.
- Compassion is the calmness that experience and others say, you are always so peaceful!
- Compassion is what you feel when you see others facing same problems that you overcome. And you trust that they will find a way.
- Compassion is the power of transformation.
- Compassion is the symptom of great eternal change. It’s at the brink of enlightenment.
Scientific Stroy
For scientific minds of you, when we are fussing and worrying – then those are the connections that neurons in our mind is are making. Meditation ceases that, and the brain-wiring returns to it’s natural state of wellness. The whole process feels like compassion.
Practice Compassion – Be Aware
So from now, let us be aware of compassion rising within us and let us consciously practice it. And whenever you feel anger, rage or any negative emotion rising within, do not fight it. Just meditate it out.
How do you perceive compassion? What is your take on this? Do you feel it dawning on you?
