Okay so you watched Avatar and all their ways and customs to live. The protagonist goes and lives with them, learns everything and it’s awesome to watch that! But how can that help you in some way other than just providing happy moments of the Na’vi way of living? Well, let’s see.

The Relationship between the Na’vis and the Pandora

If you were paying any attention to the movie, you would see that they have an eternal bond with their planet, Pandora. They can connect with anything by using that “curly-wurly” thing at the end of their hair (or tail), and feel that creature, tree, leaves or whatever they can connect to. And the feeling they get is eternal and almost similar to the feeling you get when you meditate.

Now, how will you do that? You are not a Na’vi (and if you are, WTH are you doing on earth?!) and you don’t have that “curly-wurly” thing at the back of your hair or… umm tail (which I guess you don’t have). But if you could imagine that your whole body/skin can do the similar thing? Yes, you guessed it correct. It’s very easy to meditate their way!

Meditating the Na’vi Way!

Follow the following steps, and meditate the Na’vi way –

First, be in whatever position you like to meditate in – sit, lie, or whatever (but make sure, at least half of your body is touching the ground)!

Now close your eyes (it’s important for this type of meditation).

Now focus on the ground your body is in contact with – Feel the vibration, feel everything, feel that you are acquiring some sort of energy from the ground, you have an eternal connection between both of you.

Keep doing feeling this for 5 minutes to 20 minutes (depends on you).

There ya go, you are now meditating the Na’vi way! And I bet you will love it!

How it Works

Well, as their planet, Pandora works as does our mother earth. There is a constant flow of energy in the ground below your legs, you can feel it if you want, or just ignore it (what everyone else does). But, we, humans have made it very difficult to feel it by lack of attention.

You can feel this energy in your own house even if you live at the top floor of a 100 storey building. And what’s more exciting is that, you can literally draw energy from it. Yeah, seriously, you can draw energy from it. Don’t believe me? How do wrestlers punch or kick so hard? And you cannot? Because they have muscles and strength? Yes, sure they have, but they know one more thing, they know there is energy in the ground below their feet. While punching or kicking they draw energy from it and their punch gets a hell lot better.

PS: I will write about how you can energy from Mother Earth can help us solve day to day problems.

If there is anything common between the awesome top-gun I am and the lousy thing you are – then it’s gotta be Siddy. We have learned many bad things from him. (Screw him!)

So it is time to unlearn some of the shit he has taught you.

Worst of Worst – Be Calm, Peaceful & in Ease and Flow

I’ll tell you what. Life ain’t no fun when it’s shitty easy and flowing. I like it raw and wriggling. Goullum! Gollum!

So make it hip and put on some dirty music. Put on some death metal, as if I care. Now think. Think in midst of that flowing energy, you will love it. If you won’t, you are an idiot.

I will give a challenge. Can you meditate in middle of f***ing fast music? I bet you can’t! haha!

If any of you lazy ass manages to beat that then I will see you in comments section. If you are a pretty girl, I might consider seeing you in personal. Lucky shit you are.

Next Best Thing – Be Naked

Have you ever tried that? You weird cloth wearing c**t?! It’s awesome. I work topless ( no I don’t exchange pictures so STFU!).

Try that. Be free. Let’s make a nudist colony. I am thinking of asking your pretty smart Siddy to make me a website that says ‘Nudism Rocks’. At least talk some sense dude. Some day you will be lucky to have that blog. Today is not that day.

If you’ve been paying attention I am talking about meditation here. Yea that weird closed legs and crossed eyes stuff… err… crossed legs & closed eyes. Yeah! Exactly, that shit you do.

So try and meditate while you are naked. I will tell you what. Poor Siddy wanted to share this idea with you since so long. But he is f***ing shy (and show off) so I did you a favor. You super lucky f***er.

That’s enough of luck for today. Go screw yourself or meditate, for all I care. It’s time for me to download some things while Siddy is away, if you know what I mean.

Subscribe to this shit and we will have something more in common. Or go away and stop bugging me you bugger. F*** You!

King Sidharth’s Note to Readers: Please bear with me, I am busy and I have to give it to my alter ego to write for you. You know it’s not me, right? I don’t swear. Like at all.

King Sidharth’s Note to Alter Ego: F**k You!

You asked for it, and here I am. Why do you have to hear from me? (You stupid ass) Don’t you know I was asleep?!

So you want me to teach you a thing or two about meditation, eh?

Then let me f***ing teach you something. Here is the thing:

Meditators Should Be Angry

Who’s the f***ing bastard who told you that meditators are not angry?! F**k, they are angry as hell. They are people, not some shitty angle trying to play nice with God.

So I’ll tell you what, be angry and be as angry as you can. And when others try to calm you down or tell you that they don’t like you tell them to

“Fuck Off!”

…because meditation gives you that awesome selfishness. See me? I don’t give a shit about what you are gonna think of me. I am no f***ing King Sidharth. Be like me, don’t give a rip.

Meditation tells you ‘shut the **** up’ and then you see yourself – your f**king God self.

That’s it for today.

Since your dear-heart Siddy is busy with some shit, you are going to hear from me this week. Lucky bastards you are. (If you are not an idiot you will demand for me to write more to you – when he comes back, that is)

Now if you are smart you will go and subscribe to this blog because I blog here every now and then. And in case you are over-smart and have already done that, you will go and share it with friends of yours who need some shit in their brain. (Use ‘Sharing is Sexy’ stuff below)

If you don’t, you are an idiot.

Go meditate, or don’t. As if I care.

This post rocks, I can tell.

In my first video on Meditation Rocks! I talked about meditation inducing similar effects as drugs but without any side-effects. Since then, I’ve had this discussion with so many.

I thought it’d be good to put up an explanation. Not that I owe you one, but because you wanted one.

Drugs diffuse your focus so you cannot think in detailed way you are accustomed to. And meditation does similar thing – it points your focus to such a non-expanding thought that you almost think nothing. As a result – both happy and unhappy thought cease.

Both diffuse focused thinking to the point where it is hardly noticeable. But Marijuana users don’t agree that it is as much fun because meditation still needs conscious effort and that is a good thing.

As you consciously practice mediation your control over your mind increases. Now a far better thing would be to practice a good feeling emotion rather than meditation, but that is a bit off tack here.

So meditation can be a great escape for people who are seeking relief from drug addiction. Just start mediating. You will have your control back.

What do you think?

Concentration is way different then focus. But which one is better?

When I was in junior school, they told us this story from Mahabharata repeatedly. It was a nice to hear a good story, but it was awful to hear misinterpretation of it.

The story goes like this…

Once upon a time, Dronacharya (royal mentor of princes of that time) was teaching them archery. He asked the princes to aim at the eye of a bird sitting on tree.

Then he asked one of them, “What do you see?”

“I see tree, leaves, bird and sky.” He replied. Dronacharya was disappointed. Then he went to Arjuna (famous hero of Mahabharata) and asked him the same question.

Arjuna said, “I see the eye.”

“Don’t you see the tree, leaves, birds and sky?” asked Dronacharya.

“No. I see the eye.” replied Arjuna.

The Screwy Conclusion

The conclusion they made out of this story was ‘importance of concentration’ and ever since I can remember, elders have tried to ‘help’ the younger generation to concentrate on one thing. You will often find them crowing that their generation did one thing at a time and that multitasking is a bad thing.

the Generation Gap

But I want to declare / proclaim / remind you that the world is not getting worse, the world is getting better. It is not possible to regress. Generations today have much more capacity of contemplate data then any generation before. And when they want us to sit and do one thing – it never works out.

That is why our generation condemns so many of old ways as ‘boring’ because we need to have that much going on in our minds or we will feel bored.

This helps us to be more creative and precise in focus. This doesn’t diminish focus but enhances focus because now we can focus in much more detailed way.

The Real Moral of Story

The meaning of the story is not ability to focus. It is ability of choice. You can choose what to focus on and you will not see evidence of any other in your life.

You can choose to focus on problem rather than solution. You can choose to feel hopeful rather then fearful and the difference between two is difference between the prince who’s name I do not remember and Arjuna – the hero.

F*** Concentration

Pardon my language but this is what younger generation wants to say. We do not want to concentrate – we want to focus. Concentration and focus are quiet different things. Concentration is like forcing yourself on a point. Focus is like expanding a point to eternity.

The first one is to be ****** and the second one is series of meditation and contemplation and joyous growth.

Yours is not to concentrate on thoughts for you cannot control them. Yours is o choose the feeling in which you focus your ‘self’ for that will choose the average direction of your thought and life.

I don’t know about you, but I have those days when I wake up and my mood isn’t just the best. I can be really annoyed or angry. No matter who says what, those are the worst days to be. And anything positive is just annoying.

I just had a day like that last week, and the first thing came to my mind was, “Dang! This is going to be bad day. Nothing is going to work out, I just know it.”

Thanks to the years of meditation, along came this spiritual insight. “Since anything is not going to work out, why bother even trying and being more frustrated then ever? Why not just figure out what’s bothering me?”

When you’ve been meditation for a while, ideas and insights like this just pop-up. You have practiced those good feeling state of being so much that nothing else will ever do.

So I sat down in meditation. Which wasn’t easy at all because when everything is bugging you, so does meditation but I was determined to get well so I continued anyways. I was using my favourite ease and flow processes.

To my amazement, I was bugged in meditation too! It wasn’t just working out. But I was determined, so I started again ‘ease and flow’… ‘ease and flow’ and then another though about a friend who is so buggy came to my mind and there I went out of meditation.

But anyways, I was determined to meditate. So I crawled back to meditation and this time it was bliss. It was so good to be back in my state of being that I so much like.

So What?

Why I am telling you this story, and most of those who being to read have left already. But the reason I am telling you this is to share with you want an important lesson I learned from this.

Often when stubborn problems come to our life, we just want to fight and struggle against it. But that never ever works. Fighting against the problem never brings in the solution it’s the Law (of Attraction).

Only way to solve any problem is to be in the right state of mind and then look at it. Meditation is one of the best tools to get into that state of no-mind. It is likely that as you focus on problem after meditation it will drag you back to emotional state where you were. But use your will power and determination, not to fight against anything; but to be your best no matter what.

Meditate.

It’s so good to find a process to overcome a problem in life. Isn’t that what they try to teach at school? Here is another great process from Abraham Hicks; they are eternal spewers of processes. It’s related to meditation so you are really going to like it.

Do you remember the time when you were feeling really tired and overwhelmed? Damn! You just wanted to scream and run away. So what is opposite of overwhelming and tiredness? Ease and Flow!

Ah! Such good words! Ease and Flow. Even speaking them makes me feel good. And that’s exactly what we are going to do. We are going to close our eyes and feel the words ‘Ease & Flow’… ‘Ease & Flow’…

Try that now!

I said try it.

So it was good, wasn’t it? Hmm… Feels so good! So next time you need a quick break – you know what to do. Meditate on ease and flow or whatever emotion you like.

Words that work best are: Ease, Flow, Creative, Peace, Eager, Interested, Attracted, etc.

Let me know how you liked this new process.

A Yummy chocolate treat meditation for readers of Meditation Rocks! by Ram

We all LOVE chocolate, don’t we? Here is a yummy meditation technique to indulge in chocolate bliss! In the journey to “Know Thyself”, I consider this technique to be helpful to get some insight into how our mind works in relation to the sense of taste. Why dark chocolate? I like dark chocolate because it contains low sugar and is the densest source of chocolate flavor. Regular chocolate is a fine alternative but it has to be a type of chocolate that you enjoy.

What You Need:

A piece of dark chocolate

A comfortable place

The Technique:

Have a piece of dark chocolate near you.

Sit comfortably in the meditation pose of your choice

Meditate for some time with eyes closed (remember, no thoughts, including the thought of chocolate during this time.) The state of mind shall become an observer after meditating.

Reach out for the piece of chocolate with your eyes closed and slowly slide it into your mouth and observe the immediate reactions.

Do not engage (or try to control) but observe how your tongue and senses react.
The tongue naturally begins to brush the chocolate against the upper part of the mouth and you find yourself smiling as you begin to indulge. =)

Go with the flow, not in a hurry. Take your own time to taste every bit of chocolate there is in that piece.

After you have enjoyed the treat, notice how your tongue begins to crave for more, it tastes its own self. Your tongue is asking for more chocolate (Bad boy!).

Let’s call for a healthy mind hack here:

Take a deep breath, visualize a refrigerator

Open it and find all the chocolates you can think of.

Now start to open/break and eat them (as much as you want)

It’s ok if your jaw wants to move while you eat the chocolates.

…. And notice that you being able to taste them too =)

Now you know how to enjoy MORE with LESS chocolate!

Dance is amazing, Meditation is astonishing. Let's put them together and see what happens.

What do you do when everything seems to be stuck? What do you do when you are overwhelmed with amount of work? What do you do when you want to stop procrastinating? What do you do when you just want to be yourself?

Me? I close the door of my room, and dance…

This is no joke or something, well it can be if you want to make it one but dance is really a great way to enter meditation.

But I Can’t Dance!

I can hear some of you swearing under your breath, “What the…! I can’t dance! I suck at dancing!” Well you don’t. I am not talking about dancing on stage or dancing for show or dancing at parties – I am talking about real dance, the passion that every dancer seeks in it – the energy that bursts out when you dance, the enlightenment you attain when dancing!

The Real Dance

Dance is expressing joy of life and living in physical form. Now many might argue that it’s ‘doing’. Yes it is if you are trying to remember steps but the dance I am talking about has no steps, no posture, no formality and it doesn’t even need music!

I am talking about the dance you do when you are happy. The little soul dance when you achieve. Have you noticed that your body gets into a rhythm and you move about in a funny way and jump about? That’s the dance I am talking about! It has no steps, no music and no thought – pure bliss and that’s meditation.

How to Meditate while Dancing

Please note that this is not for beginners, how would you know if it’s meditation you are doing or just feeling good? I recommend that you practice easier meditation for at least a month and then try this. Or maybe, you know just don’t listen to me and do it anyways.

Just close your room, drop the curtains, make sure no one can watch you. Cover the mirrors – many people stop in middle just because they can’t stand even a glimpse of their true self.

Now put on some music, for start you have to later you can eliminate this step. I recommend faster beats of Sufi music, or Rock music if you like energetic dancing. Or you can try classical music or soft music if you like slow dancing. Put it on!

Close your eyes and let music soak in. You will feel sensations in your body, follow them and move what you feel like. You don’t have to follow the beats just move about.

Let your hands move and your feet tap, Let your arms swing and your head look up. Let go of control and just dance. Ummm… yeah!

Tip: It really helps to remember best of your moments and experience joy.

You are not trying to please anyone or dance for someone. This dance is for you, do it as you like it. Do it for yourself. Do it because it feels so good!

Warning: You will love it so much that you may end of putting in hours and hours dancing. Remember to take rest, eat and drink.

Here is how you can begin dancing without music. First try to remember the beats of your fav. song and dance with them soon you will find yourself dancing without music. You will dance to the music of universe.

Dance Meditation in Short

Start dancing… just do it.

Conclusion

This is the dance of flowers in wind, this is the dance of trees in storm, the dance of rain, the dance of soul in joy, dance of Shiva in anger, dance of water on fall, dance of leaves in autumn – it’s so natural.

Go on. Do it now! And please do come back later to let me know how you loved it.

It’s weekend again. Time to look back at progress through we made this week. I said ‘we’ so you got to tell me what all you learned and what all you experienced. Is there any transformation you noticed in yourself? Some changes begin to occur? Do share.

Remember we had last week? There were loads of responses, and thanks for that.( If you have not taken it take it now, there are just 5 questions.) Most of readers described meditation precisely. It was so awesome to see that we all have really learned a lot.

But!…. I don’t Know How to Meditate

But there were many people who were not meditating. ‘I don’t know’ how was the biggest problem. Now, one can easily dig this blog to learn how to meditate. But those posts are scattered so I made a guide on ‘How to Meditate’.

This guide is for those who want to meditate but don’t know how. It’s still under construction; I need your help to complete it. Go through the guide and let me know if I’ve missed something, suggestions comments- all are welcome.

Please note that many articles mentioned there are not yet online and will be published in future. I really want to build something that you can refer to your friends when they ask you, “What happened to you? You are just calm and happy all the time!”

and you will tell them, “Ah! I meditate.”

And they will say “Wow! I wish I could do that…”

“Well why not?”

“I don’t know how!”

“That’s not a problem. There is awesome guide on internet on how to meditate. I will send you the link.”

Here is the link to guide again.

Is that ‘guide’ something that you can talk about like this? Maybe not yet – that’s why I need your help to develop it.

Here is a small survey you cal fill up to provide a feedback or just leave comments.

Enjoy your weekend.

Namaste
